Pumpkin & Vin’S da Cuero prennent de la hauteur et signent l’album Astronaute, ultime chapitre de leur triptyque Rap amorcé avec Chimiq EP [2016] et Persona Non Gratis EP [2017].

Make Boom Bap Great Again. Dès l’intro, le duo beatmaker et MC annonce la couleur de ce nouvel album militant et fort, estampillé Mentalow Music.

Madame gratte ses textes, ici pas de ghostwriter. La plume oscille entre topo cash et poésie rêche trilingue. La rappeuse fait l’éponge et chronique un quotidien tantôt lumineux tantôt sombre, scande avec technicité son Tetris de rimes au service de thématiques fortes.

Monsieur compose des instrumentales intemporelles léchées, aux sonorités organiques des classiques des ninetees à base de gros breakbeats et samples mélodiques catchy, sur lesquelles des potes musiciens viennent jouer.

Sur ce 12 titres indiscutablement Hip Hop, les nantais en osmose artistique parfaite se font plaisir avec des featurings de qualité comme la chanteuse China Moses, les rappeurs Miscellaneous [Chill Bump] et JP Manova, Sly The Mic Buddah au beatbox, les musiciens Bastien Burger, Matthieu Detton, Oï Tomkin, Le Chat ou encore DJ Odilon et DJ Lyrik aux scratches.
